In math, we explored each polygon's attributes and then practiced dividing each shape into equal shares (halves, thirds, fourths). We practiced using the Geoboard app on the iPad.

Reading - Last week, everyone chose a goal to focus on for this week and the week after break. Those goals were to read fluently, identifying literary language, and keeping track of longer books. They will be in goal groups to focus on the goal but to also provide and receive feedback about the skill.
Writing - We are finishing our last opinion piece. We will learn how to write a conclusion sentence and then peer edit. Once completed, a 4th grade class will get to read the opinion pieces and provide positive feedback to everyone.
Math - We are finishing our 2-dimensional shapes and fractions unit. We will review the attributes of polygons and how to divide a shape into equal shares of halves, thirds, and fourths.
Social Studies - We are finishing learning about the different continents with Asia, Africa and Australia. Keep sending in the flat character pictures. We will put some more on our world map to see which continents we have explored!
