Week in Review
We continued our nonfiction unit by practicing to read like an expert. We used the app Chatter Pix to record our expert reading voice.
We are learning about adding suffixes to base words (ing, ed, s, es, er, est). We played a spinning game to help spell these words.
In math, we practiced adding multiples of 10 to double digit numbers by spinning on a snowman.

Reading - We are looking at many nonfiction books about one topic to compare and contrast the information. We are also connecting prior knowledge to any new knowledge learned.
Writing - We are towards the end of our nonfiction writing unit. We will be focusing on writing a table of contents and glossary to provide an easy to use book.
Math - We are finishing our place value unit and will take an assessment.
Science - We are starting the magnets unit this week. We will focus on discovering how magnets work, properties of magnets, and what makes a magnet. We will do two investigations to explore what is a magnet.
